RTE means Right to Education.
It means The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education.
Our constitution came into force on 26 January 1950 while RTE Act, 2009 came into force as a part of implementation of Article 21-A of our constitution.
One of the important clause of RTE Act, 2009 is children of age 6 to 14 can get free admission on 25% seats of self-finance school. Government is paying fees to private school on behalf of children who get admission under RTE Act, 2009.
