About Safety With Me Android App
SAM is an app for supporting users of the public transportation system. It supports a user that is being subjected to a predatory crime or harassment. Consider, as an example, a woman in a train station that sees a group of misfits. Thanks to SAM she can notify their presence to a Security Operation Center. The personnel of the SOC receive the notifications by users, and see the geographical position, so that intervention can be precise.
SAM can also be used to notify third parties events, such as a person needing medical assistance or someone else subjected to a crime.
In order to avoid the improper use of the app and hold users responsible, the app requires registration and an identification by means of name, date of birth and mobile phone number, where the user will receive a PIN via SMS to confirm the truthfulness of provided information.
