About SailChat - Iridium Messaging Android App
SailChat is the easiest way to chat with sailors using a satellite phone (eg Iridium).
If you want to chat with a sailor, search for the person you are interested in and start a new chat. Write your messages freely, without thinking about the character limit of the satellite phone: SailChat will take care of formatting your messages correctly.
The person you contacted will be able to answer you with his satellite phone and you will receive her messages on SailChat.
If you are an owner and you want to chat with your loved ones, you just need to add your boat and set up your satellite phone email correctly before leaving.
If you are a member of the crew, you can have your loved ones contact you on the owner's satellite phone. You just have to register on SailChat, and select the boat where you are embarked.
