Minor bug fixes and improvements
School Jam gets schools, parents and children jamming together! The app enables your child’s teacher to send quick and fun maths activities for you to do at home with your child. School Jam also features Maths Help Videos, revealing how your child is learning maths at school.
A mix of digital games and practical activities will be sent to your School Jam app home screen, all designed for you to play together with your child. Each practical activity has a demo video or graphics showing how to play, and you can let your teacher know when you’ve done it. The digital games encourage collaboration or competition and you can send a screenshot of your finished work. All activities can be played again if you wish and are grouped by topic on the Activities screen.
Celebrate completing an activity by taking a celebration photo with your child. These photos are stored on your phone (they won’t be shared) and you and your child can revisit your School Jam memories on the Album screen.
Track all of your completed activities on the Achievements screen. Aim to get a celebration message at the end of the year! Your child’s teacher will also get reports on completed activities, and share in your success.
Confused by part-whole models or ten frames in your child’s maths homework? The Maths Help Videos give you a 2-minute (or less) masterclass to keep you up to date with the methods your child is learning. These will also be sent to the Home screen by your child’s teacher and can be viewed again on the Maths Help Video screen.
Ever wondered what your child is doing in maths and how you can support them? School Jam gives you the confidence that the activities match what your child is doing at school, and support the methods used by the teacher.
