used to co ordinate search and rescue teams looking for missing people. ideal for carers, general public and emergency services. It uses GPS tracking from your phone to plot the path you have taken whilst out looking. This means other people can see the route you have taken and they do not need to waste valuable time going over the same ground. There is in group chat, so people can share up to date information, last seen location, possible sightings or hopefully that they have been found. this is good for search and rescue equipment (sars, mountain rescue, sar, missing people, lost people, not returned home)
An important feature of the app is that when the person sets up the search team, they can select the type of person that's gone missing. e.g child, suicidal, eating disorder, mental health conditions or dementia. using data from previous searches this then creates a search area that they are most likely to be found in. this area grows as time elapses as they could have travelled further. this is crucial to focus the search team in the right area. you are able to share the search team with a selection of social media, email and text. one person missing is bad enough, take care not to put your self in danger.
this would also be a good app for walkers and climbers going into remote areas. they can create a group prior to leaving and other people could see their last walked path should they not return when expected. meaning quicker rescues as rescue teams will know exactly where they are likely to be. this will work world over, back packers, hikers, trekking
