The latest release of the SEFF Trails app.
SEFF have developed a number of trails which reflect the human cost of ‘The N.I Troubles.’ The purpose of these trails is to afford people with the opportunity to see first-hand the impact of violence across our community.
The Project allows users the opportunity to view the trails virtually, or with the assistance of the App and interactive map contained within, you may also undertake the trail in person. This can either be done in the suggested route/sequence or in any order in which you personally prefer to navigate the trail.
The App can also be used as an aide when joining one of our official organised trails conducted by knowledgeable guides. Please contact our main office in Lisnakea for further details on: 028 677 23884 (selecting option 1)
Within the App are links to further information, photographs and media coverage of the atrocities and incidents that are referred to within this legacy and education-based Project.
The first trail that has been contained within the App is the Enniskillen and District trail, which highlights the impact those difficult times had on the town and the surrounding district over a 30 plus year period; including one of the most horrific atrocities of ‘The Troubles’ - The ‘Poppy Day’ bomb which resulted in the murder of 12 innocent people. Over the next 12 months we will be adding additional trails to this App.
We hope that you find our trail useful and we trust that you will gain new knowledge and a better understanding of the experiences of innocent victims as a result of ‘The Troubles’.
This version of SEFF Trails Android App comes with one universal variant which will work on all the Android devices.
