How this all started is a great story in hard work and perseverance. In 1950 Emmett Sellars joined the Goodyear family. Over the years his hard working American spirit helped him earn the coveted position at corporate, Vice President of Sales. You could say, Goodyear was in his blood, so that when it came time to retire, Emmett wasn't ready to pick up a fishing pole. Instead he decided to open up a retail auto repairing and tire store in East Cobb.
So in 1987, the first Sellars Goodyear opened up in the Parkaire plaza at 648 Johnson Ferry. Within a few years a second Sellars location in Marietta opened up at 2950 Johnson Ferry. The third Sellars Goodyear was planted at 3621 Sandy Plains, near the intersection of Gordy and Shallowford. Today Emmett's son, Timothy Sellars runs the three locations with the same respect as his father.
