Server SOS has two interfaces – Web-portal and Mobile. The web-portal is handled by the administrator while the mobile application notifies the users/ client whenever it receives an issue on the web-portal.
The mobile app even provides an interface to the client for raising any sort of SOS or emergency messages.
Highlighting features:
► Any third-party web service can be used to monitor the concerned website.
► The pull service notifies all the users through an alarm whenever an issue is received by the web-portal.
► The home screen of the mobile application provides the notification of past 48 hours.
► The issue detail page has got two buttons, namely Pickup and Resolve.
a) Pick Up : It marks the issue as “Picked Up” by the user
b) Resolve : On clicking the resolve button, “Resolved issue comment” pops up on the page. Click on the resolve button and it will mark the issue as resolved.
► User gets a postpone button after picking up the issue. It will again send an alert after 30 minutes.
How can the Server SOS App be used?
To use this mobile app, you need to follow the below steps:
1. Download and install the “Server SOS” app from Play Store.
2. Create an administrator account on the web-portal (http://sos.velsof.com)
3. Once the account has been created, you need to login into the web-portal (http://sos.velsof.com) to select the package of subscription. There are two types of subscription :
a) SOS trial Package for free: With this option, you can add maximum of one user who can receive upto 100 alarm/ notifications per month.
b) SOS paid subscription : In paid subscription, you will get the respective number of user accounts and unlimited number of notifications per month as per the subscribed package.
4. After selecting a package, go to Project and add a “New Project” to your account.
5. After that you can explore your project where you can :
a) Add new users (according to your subscription)
b) Configure settings
c) Add Members to your project
d) Add tags to the users
6. So, when ever the users, client or members will raise a issue it will send an SOS notification to admin and all the users.
7. In this way the app will help the users to manage emergency situations on their project and in same time help the admin to track the issues easily using the Server SOS app.
