About Shade Aware Android App
Used by hundreds of people, this app displays both real-time (UVI) and historical data (UV dose) of UV exposure measured by the Shade UV sensor. It will help you set a maximum limit of UV exposure for a day and notifies you every 20% of that limit. You can adjust up or down your UV exposure limit to take into account your personal tolerance. if you wear sunscreen, you can let the app know and the measurements made by the sensor will be adjusted as a function of your sunscreen SPF.
Instructions to pair a sensor to the app via Bluetooth:
1. When the app is first installed, ensure Bluetooth on the phone is "on"
2. Pair the Shade UV sensor within the Shade app, not via Android's own scanning & pairing.
This app is compatible with both 1st-generation and 2nd-generation Shade UV sensors. Visit https://www.wearshade.com/ to purchase a sensor.
