देवाधिदेव महादेव सृष्टि के आदिदेव हैं. जिसे सभी त्याग देते हैं, महादेव उसे थाम लेते हैं. कालकूट को कंठ में रखके सृष्टि की रक्षा करते हैं, विषधरों को गले का हार बना लेते हैं, क्षयरोग से पीड़ित चंद्रमा को मस्तक पर धारण कर चंद्रशेखर हैं तो अमृतमयी गंगा को पृथ्वी पर सहारा देने के लिए जटाओं में लपेट लेते हैं. ऐसे अद्भुत हैं हमारे भोलेभंडारी.
