About SHOPportUNITY Android App

The SHOPportUNITY App is to promote making local purchases from businesses within the Town of Unity, Saskatchewan, Canada. Businesses located within the Town of Unity are provided the opportunity to become a Participating Merchant, after which they will be provided a unique QR code by Town of Unity staff. Upon downloading and installing the App on a device, an App user will be able to browse within the App and learn which businesses are Participating Merchants. The App user may frequent a Participating Merchant, make a purchase from that business, and record a SHOPportUNITY at the business check out-counter. The SHOPportUNITY App records a SHOPportUNITY by scanning the Participating Business's unique QR code. The SHOPportUNITY App will keep track of the number of SHOPportUNITYs an App user has made. The administrator of the SHOPportUNITY App will provide the App user who has made the most recorded SHOPportUNITYs monthly and annually with a gift card to one of the Participating Merchants.
