The “arguably greatest pork dish on earth”, dubbed by New York Times, SISIG, will be showcased again on April 28, 2018 at the Train Station ‘Crossing’ in Angeles City . Taking advantage of the nostalgia, the ambiance of the place will be recreated reminiscent of the birth of SIZZLING SISIG in this place in the 1980’s.

The Sisig Fiesta of Angeles is a gastronomic event where the many varieties of Sisig intend to showcase the creativity and distinct taste in food of Kapampangans. A sundry of events ranging from cooking demonstration and competitions will pepper the whole night alongside with music and dance performances. A sampling of the targeted 100 different varieties of Sisig coming from different restaurants, culinary schools and catering services in the city will be the highlight.

The Hotels and Restaurants Association in Pampanga (HARP), the biggest organization of hotels, restaurants and tourism-related establishments in Pampanga, will also add flair during the event as they will conduct their annual Cook-Off Challenge which coincides to the festivity. Also, a cooking competition that showcases the culinary skills of the Angeleños will also be held with representatives from different barangays of Angeles City.

This event is spearheaded by the Angeles City Tourism Office with the help of other local government agencies which is co presented by Fresh Options Meat shop. This event focuses on the younger generation to establish and create awareness about the history of Sisig, its basic recipe and that food preparation is a heritage and a legacy worth passing on.
