Smart House Access Control (SHAC) is an app that is used to open doors and gates. It is configured by default to open the gate and door at the House4Hack hackerspace in Centurion, Pretoria, South Africa (see http://www.house4hack.co.za). It uses a web2py backend which integrates with a simple web server running on an Arduino with Ethernet and Relay shields. The Relay shield is connected to the gate and door remote controls to activate them. The web2py backend authenticates the user. The user can sign-in on the app using their Google account.
If you have a Sony SmartWatch, you can also open the gate or door using your watch by installing the SmartWatch SHAC widget onto your phone.
