What is wrong with our current parking lot system? To name a few:
For the lot owner:
-Kiosks and gateway employees are costly
-Massive amounts of paper ($$$) is required for all the tickets

For the driver:
-Tickets are easy to lose
-Going to ticket machines at night can be unsafe
-You are usually charged by a fixed hourly rate even if you leave earlier

SmartPark is an automated parking lot system concept using an Android centered ecosystem (as Android devices are inexpensive). Cameras take a picture of a vehicle's license plate on entry and charges the vehicle when they exit, only for the duration they are in the lot. This data is recorded.

Using the SmartPark-myPortal application for your parking lot(s), you can view:

--> Real-time parking lot information
--> Add a new lot or update your parking lot settings
--> Log of all entered cars
