You have assigned a task to your staff which he is supposed to finish after a week. Immediately after you assign, create a new SMS in this app, assign date few days before deadline. This app will send SMS on that date.

You can also send SMS to a group. This is even more helpful since services like WhatsApp are too noisy and important messages get lost.
