Set-Up and usage
----------------------------

Tap to select a Gmail account configured on your phone or use the wizard to configure a new one.

You will need to authorize SMS From Gmail to use your Gmail account on first activation.
Check your notifications, approve and just wait for SMS From Gmail to activate itself.

When replying to an SMS from email, leave at least two blank lines at the end your message or part of the original message will also be sent.


How it works

SMS In Gmail works by sending emails to yourselves.

When an SMS arrives on you phone, SMS In Gmail will send an email to yourself. The return email address is your address written using a special syntax. SMS In Gmail will pick-up the reply email and send the content via SMS.
Once converted to SMS, the reply email will be marked with an "SMS sent" label.

The same address syntax can be used to send new SMS directly from you email.
Say your Gmail address is [email protected] and you want to send an SMS to 712 456 789.
Simply compose a new e-mail to [email protected]

This works with international numbers too. To send an SMS to France at +33623456789, simply send an email to [email protected]
