There are many similar apps in the Google Play store. But I am very sensitive to my own privacy and can't be 100% sure that all of them work properly.
That is why I decided to write my own app which simply sends incoming SMS to desired email(s).
You should use your preferable SMTP server to send these emails, so you need make a small one-time configuration first.
Prerequisites: 1) Gmail or Microsoft Outlook mail account. 2) Internet connection
1. Gmail.
SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP port: 587
Login: [email protected]
Password: your_gmail_password
2. Microsoft Outlook.
SMTP server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
SMTP port: 587
Login: [email protected]
Password: your_outlook_mail_password
Don't forget to point you destination email box. If you want point several email boxes, use ";" as a delimiter. You need also type "Email subject".
Use "Send test email" button to sent a test email and then check recipient email box(s) to be sure that configuration is correct.
If everything is configured correctly, you may close application.
Each time you get incoming SMS it will be automatically sent as email to recipient(s).
