About SOB Remote Android App
SOB Remote receives all your NMEA navigation instruments' data and displays this information simply and clearly on your Android device.
SOB Remote requires that Software-On-Board (SOB) is installed on your Windows computer and your NMEA devices (0183 or 2000) are connected to your PC. Connect your Android device to your PC via Wifi over a LAN, or the Internet, and SOB (on the PC) will send the NMEA data to SOB Remote (on the Android).
You can also use the GPS and Heading sensor in your Android device as your computer's GPS for live navigating with SOB.
Notes:
* SOB Remote is FREE. However you must have a SOB Pro User License for your PC SOB installation to use SOB Remote. This is purchased via our webshop http://www.digiboat.us/shop
* SOB remote is not designed for navigation. Your current location (from your GPS connected to SOB) is sent to your Android and displayed on a Google Map.
Google Maps ARE NOT APPROVED NAVIGATION CHARTS and are not to be used for navigating. The Google Map display in SOB Remote is designed to just show your boat's current location.
