SoftAlarm® gives you a personal alarm with advanced, award-winning safety functions for your mobile phone.

* ALERT - SAFE IN UNSAFE ENVIRONMENTS
With SoftAlarm® on your phone, you can alert the contacts of your choice whenever you get in trouble or feel unsafe, and they'll be able to follow your location on their maps. Alerts can be triggered in several ways - the simplest one is pressing the big red button that appears as you start the app.

* FIND - SEE A CONTACT'S LOCATION
If one of your family members doesn't come home on time, or doesn't pick up your calls, you can simply Find them using SoftAlarm®. Within one or two minutes you will receive their latest location on your map.

* SOCIAL SAFETYNETWORK™ AND RECEIVING ALERTS
Helping your friends and receiving alerts is free! All you need to do is install the app, register your SoftAlarm account, log on and accept your friend's invite. Like this, you will be each other's SoftAlarm contacts - the first link in your budding Social SafetyNetwork™. Even if you don't feel like you need to be able to send alerts, you will be there as a lifeline for any friends that do.

* TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS
SoftAlarm® is designed as a service for which you can subscribe to just the functions that you need. It doesn't have to be all about you, though. If you have a family, or someone else close to you that could use some extra safety, you can share your SoftAlarm account. That way, you can handle the safety functions for everyone from the same place - and it's cheaper as well!

* TRY FOR FREE
All newly registered SoftAlarm accounts get two out of every function, to use for three months, at no cost. Try things out, and invite someone else to try it with you!

SoftAlarm® will require these permissions of your phone:

* Sending and reading SMS
SoftAlarm® uses SMS messages for communication. SMS messages don't need much coverage in order to be sent, so you'll be able to send alarms even when out in the open country.

* Calls
During alarms, SoftAlarm® has buttons that, when pressed, automatically call the related Alarm Contact.

* Full Internet access
In some cases SoftAlarm® sends cloud-to-device-messages instead of SMS. The app needs to connect to the Internet periodically in order to see what functions you are subscribed to, and to get information about these messages.

* Your location
Both GPS- and Network-based location services are used in order to achieve the best possible results when sending an alarm.

* Read contact data
The app reads your phonebook in order to find out the sender of an alarm.
