Les cartes standards
Le jeu « Sota » se joue avec les cartes espagnoles, tout comme « Ronda ».
Le jeu de cartes espagnoles compte 40 cartes.
Dheb ou oros (or) = 10 cartes y compris sota
Khel ou bastos (baton) = 10 cartes
Copas (coupe) = 10 cartes
Sbada (épée) = 10 cartes
Pour le jeu « Sota », 37 cartes sont retenues, dans la mesure où 3 cartes sont retirées avant
le démarrage du jeu (plus précisément : 3 valets)
Les cartes fantastiques
En plus des cartes standards, le jeu comporte 8 cartes fantastiques, 2 de chaque couleur. Si
une paire de cartes fantastiques est réunie chez un même joueur, celui-ci sera doté d’un
pouvoir spécifique :
- « Tête de mort » : Permet de choisir qui parmi les adversaires ne jouera pas le tour
suivant.
- « Fée » : Permet de voir qui parmi les adversaires détient la carte équivalente à la
carte choisie.
- « Assassin » : Permet de sélectionner 2 cartes (au lieu d’1) des chez les adversaires :
la première de chez de l’adversaire précédent, la seconde de chez l’adversaire
suivant.
- « Guide » : Permet au joueur de savoir qui, parmi les joueurs détient la carte sota.
Les cartes standards et les cartes fantastiques sont mélangées et distribuées entre les
joueurs. Chaque joueur voit ses cartes uniquement. Une faisceau lumineux annonce quel
joueur a la main pour jouer.
A tour de rôle, et dans le sens contraire du mouvement des aiguilles d’une montre, le joueur
qui a la main sélectionne une carte retournée de chez le joueur précédent. S’il se retrouve
avec une carte du même rang (ex : 2 as), il pose, s’il le souhaite, les 2 cartes sur le plan de
jeu et vide ainsi peu à peu sa main. Sinon, la carte puisée auprès de l’autre joueur sera
rajoutée aux autres cartes en sa possession. Le tour passe alors au joueur suivant. Parmi
les cartes distribuées figurent 8 cartes fantastiques. Si un joueur réussit à réunir une paire de
ces cartes, il est doté d’un pouvoir spécifique (voir plus haut).
Si un joueur retrouve toutes les cartes standards et se retrouve avec une carte fantastique
en fin de partie, il l’a remet au joueur suivant (et non au joueur précédent) et gagne ainsi la
partie.
Calcul des points
Le calcul des points se fait de la manière suivante :
- 1 paire de cartes posée (ex : 2 as) : 5 points
- 2 paires de cartes posées d’un coup (ex : 2 as et 2 cavaliers) : 15 points
- 3 paires de cartes posées d’un coup (ex : 2 as et 2 cavaliers et 2 rois): 30 points
- 4 cartes d’un même rang posées d’un coup (ex : 4 as) : 25 points
- Super gagnant : 500 points
- 2ème gagnant : 100 points

Standard cards
The game "Sota" is played with Spanish cards, like "Ronda".
The Spanish deck of cards has 40 cards.
Dheb or oros (gold) = 10 cards including sota
Khel or bastos (stick) = 10 cards
Copas (cut) = 10 cards
Sbada (sword) = 10 cards
The game "Sota", 37 cards are selected, insofar three cards are removed before
the start of the game (more precisely: 3 jacks)
Fantastic cards
In addition to standard cards, the game features fantastic 8 cards, 2 of each color. If
a pair of cards in fantastic met a single player, it will have a
specific power:
- "Skull": Allows you to choose which among the opponents will not play lap
following.
- "Fairy": Allows you to see who among the opponents has the equivalent to the map
chosen card.
- "Assassin": Allows you to select 2 cards (instead of 1) among opponents
the first in the previous opponent, the second of the adversary
following.
- "Manual": Allows the player to know who among the players holds the card sota.
Standard cards and the cards are shuffled and dealt fantastic between
players. Each player sees only his cards. A light beam which announces
player has to play the hand.
In turn, and in the opposite direction of movement clockwise, the player
who hand selects a card at the back of the previous player. If it finds
with a card of the same rank (eg 2 as), he asks, if desired, the two cards in terms of
game and empty and gradually his hand. Otherwise, the card drawn from the other player will
added to other cards in his possession. The turn then passes to the next player. Among
the cards are dealt 8 cards are fantastic. If a player manages to bring a pair of
these maps, it has a specific power (see above).
If a player finds all the standard cards and end up with a fantastic map
end of the game, he gives the next player (not the previous player) and thus wins
party.
Calculation points
Calculating the points is as follows:
- 1 pair of cards laid (eg 2 as): 5 points
- 2 pairs of cards laid at once (eg 2 aces and 2 riders): 15 points
- 3 pairs of cards laid at once (eg 2 aces and 2 kings and 2 riders): 30 points
- 4 cards of the same rank asked at once (eg 4 aces): 25 points
- Super Winner: 500 points
- 2nd winner: 100 points
- 3rd Winner: 50 points
