L’idea di Sport4family è nata da una “vacanza” di lavoro: due mamme incastrate nell’organizzazione dei Campionati Mondiali Master di Orienteering a Sestriere, durante i World Master Games di Torino.

Era l’inizio di Agosto del 2013 e tra un panino e una corsa abbiamo pensato che sarebbe stato bello organizzare piccoli eventi outdoor per famiglie, creando occasioni per divertirsi all’aperto con i bambini facendo anche un pò di sport.

Abbiamo pensato in particolare all’orienteering e al nordic walking perchè sono sport poco conosciuti (alle nostre latitudini… altrove sono praticati da tantissime persone di tutte le età!) che si praticano all’aperto (generalmente nei boschi) e sono adatti a tutti.

E abbiamo iniziato a organizzare eventi, corsi, incontri nelle scuole…The idea of ​​Sport4family came from a "vacation" from work: two moms embedded in the organization of the World Masters Orienteering Championships in Sestriere, during the World Masters Games in Turin.

It was the beginning of August 2013 and a race between a sandwich and we thought it would be nice to organize small outdoor events for families, creating opportunities for having fun outdoors with kids doing a bit of sport.

We thought, in particular, orienteering and nordic walking sport because they are little known (in our latitudes elsewhere ... are practiced by many people of all ages!) That are practiced outdoors (usually in the woods) and are suitable for everyone.

And we started to organize events, courses, meetings in schools ...
