The guide is divided up into:

Antimicrobial prescribing guidelines
About these Guidelines
The guidelines provide an evidence- based resource to guide empiric antibiotic prescribing for patients.
Sections are distinguished by body system and detail recommended doses and duration of treatment as well as alternative choices for penicillin allergies and reactions.
Antibiotic choice should be reviewed and based on subsequent microbiology culture and sensitivity test results.
Antimicrobial guidelines are “guides” only and may not apply to all patients and clinical situations. They are not intended to override clinician’s judgement.
Unless specified otherwise, restricted antibiotics will require microbiology approval prior to use.
