Thanks to a research team from Italy and France, a mathematical model has been proposed to describe the starling flight movements. This app takes hint from their findings to simulate what happens when a flock of starlings is under falcon attack.
Watch how the starlings separate to dodge the attack and how they regroup. See how the starling movements differ when the flock size changes.
