Why do you insist on filling our head with beautiful DIY projects tutorials that kick off countless ideas we feel a compulsive need to try? One project We have seen in many iterations that always catches our eye is string art.

We've been seeing tons of String Art Tutorial popping up all over the web and decided to try my hand at a piece of my own. We really did not want to mess with hammers and cutting wood and all that though, so We used cork board instead. Easy to work with, light weight and cheap!

String art has been around for awhile; it was popular in the '70s, but it is enjoying a comeback as a simple and fun way to make your own artwork. This retro craft requires very few materials and is an inexpensive way to add some personality to your walls. It's an excellent project for beginners, too, because it doesn't require any special skills.

To do that, pick an end point, preferably one on the outside of the project, then tie a tight knot around the nail. Tip: Make sure it's tied nice and tight so your project doesn't come unraveled.
