Have you ever had to waste those precious minutes of your time seeking through a video which is simply too long for your liking but which you need to watch as it talks about a certain topic which you are interested in?
Or is it that you have watched the video earlier but just don't remember where exactly does it talk about what you are interested in?
Well, you don't have to waste those precious minutes anymore as "Subtitle Searcher" comes to your rescue.
It takes hardly a minute to get what you are looking for and is very easy to use.
Here's how to use it:-
1)Download the subtitles/captions of the video you are interested in.Make sure it has a .srt extension i.e. it should be of the form "xyz".srt
2)If you downloaded the file from your phone or any other Android based device, then skip this step. However, if you downloaded the file on your computer, then you need to copy the file into your phone. You can do this either via USB cable,Bluetooth,Cloud-storage services or any other means you find convenient.
NOTE:Make sure that you copy the file into the sdcard(internal one) and that the file is placed all by its own and not inside any folder.
Once you have completed this step, skip to Step 4.
3)If you downloaded the file from your phone or any other Android based device, then you need to locate it on your device and copy it to the sdcard(internal one) and make sure that the file is placed all by its own and not inside any folder.Note that the downloaded file will be usually be placed in the Downloads or Other Downloads folder on your device.
4)Now, run the app by touching its icon on your device and enter the name of the .srt file you downloaded in the text field without the extension.
eg-if the file you downloaded is "xyz.srt" then you just need to enter "xyz"(without the quotes) in the text field.
NOTE:You might want to rename the file you downloaded to make it shorter and hence easier to type in the text field.
5)Click on the "Load Subtitles" button. If the loading was successful, you will see the loaded subtitles in the text field below the button. If the loading was unsuccessful however, you will get the message-"File not found".
In case you get this message, make sure that the .srt file you downloaded is correctly placed and that the name you entered is exactly the same as the file's name i.e. even the case is the same.
6)Now, enter the phrase/word you want to search for in the text field at the bottom.Note that it is case-sensitive.
7)Now, click on the "Search" button and Voila, you would be presented with the results in the hh/mm/ss format.
In case no matches are found you will get the message-"No match found".
8)To make another search, simply press the Back button on your device to do so.
If you liked the app, please recommend it to your friends so that they too can enjoy using this app.
