Note: This App is meant to share public health education and information only. It is not meant to be used as legal, medical or mental health advice. Following the guidelines in the app should help decrease the risk of suicide but we cannot eliminate ALL risk of suicide. Safe storage of firearms and medications should be part of a larger suicide prevention plan developed with your primary care or mental health provider that may include treatment with talk therapy and/or medication and increased supervision.
If someone you care about is at high risk, please follow the recommendations of your health or mental health provider and call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, if time permits, 1-800-273-8255, or take that person to your nearest hospital emergency room.
