SmartCity.im is a platform for Governments to serve & engage citizens better by leveraging Mobility, BigData, Analytics, Machine Learning and Legacy systems they have.

The first city we are working for SmartCity.im platform is Surat. We are trying to cover following areas in the app for now:

- Citizen engagement with government as well as other citizens with similar interests or neighbourhood
- Open Data analytics for most of the datasets published by Surat Municipal Corporation on www.data.gov.in like Birth / Death, Monsoon data, Professional tax, Property tax, ​and Vehicle registration statistics.
- Weather information collected by various IoT sensors installed across Surat city
- Rainfall data analysis
- Other useful apps for Surati's

We envisioned SmartCity.im to help those Governments that considers citizens as core of their functions and wants to provide next level of service with help of citizen feedback and data. We wants to help Governments to transform themselves from eGovernment to Open Government to Smart Government by shifting their focus from just working well to opening up and to think better for citizens. SmartCity.im wants to utilise their existing IT systems, Web & Mobile apps, data collected on one single platform to not just having better policies and governance but they can define better policies by utilising citizens as data sensors by our customer engagement tools.

We believe that all Governments are in need to have citizen engagement platform where Government opens up their data, convey right messages so that citizens can provide their feedback in quickest way through mobile apps to better smarter cities. We begun our journey to provide such evolving platform to serve Smart Cities.
