As the Tadau Kaamatan is usually celebrate on end of May annually. It has been gazetted as Public Holiday in Malaysia since 9 May 1960. Since that the celebration brings the people all around the world to feel and experience the spirit of harvest festival in Kadazan culture.

There are few stage of celebrating it such as Kumogos Ceremony, Kumotob Ceremony, Posisip Ceremony,Poiib Ceremony, Magavau Ceremony, and Humabot Ceremony.
