TangoCamera is an open source developers tool for saving images, pointclouds and associated Tango pose and Android sensor data which may be used for Computer Vision and Augmented Reality research, particularly when developing or validating pose finding algorithms.
When capturing an image it will also store associated data in the form of a YAML file containing camera intrinsics device rotation, Tango pose rotation quaternion and Tango pose translation vector, Android gravity and accelerometer vectors. The pointcloud for the image will also be stored in a .ply file. The Tango pose origin can also be reset in the UI. The YAML string is also saved to the image JPEG file using the EXIF UserComment tag.
