About Teen Health to Go! Android App
This app was created for teens, by teens. In collaboration with the Lynn Community Health Center, the Teen Health Ambassadors; a peer leader group from Girls Incorporated of Lynn felt and responded to the need for clear and accurate information regarding Teen Health. The Teen Health Ambassadors facilitate local workshops on topics pertaining to teen health such as sexual health, pregnancy prevention and STIs. The goal of these workshops is to educate their peers and encourage them to become more health conscious. The THAs and LCHC have also partnered up to create a Teen Health Clinic at the Lynn Community Health Center, established as a space for teens to feel comfortable coming for assistance that will always remain confidential. The goal of this app is for teens to learn more about teen health in an enjoyable and relatable way! Support for this work and APP development was received by the Cummings Foundation, Women’s Fund of Essex County and the Massachusetts Medical Society & Alliance Charitable Foundation.
