Features:
- Inspired by vim/emacs/atom desktop applications: everything is configurable via single settings file
- Has integrated file system browser/manager with basic operation: create rename, delete file/folder etc.
- Built-in syntax highlight with bundled markdown syntax support
- Tabbed editor with multiple files/shippets being editable at once
- Editor has two modes:
- Traditional - edits whole document
- Append only - adds entered text to the bottom of existing file (think of inbox)
- Editor can be extended with templates
- Has landscape mode for large tablets with all panes together in one view, see screenshots
- 'Find-in-file' text search dialog
- Parses links in text files accessible via long tap
- Works best with third party file sync software: e.g. FolderSync, ownCloud
- Shortcut to any file can be dropped to home screen with following modes:
- View file contents
- Edit file
- Append to file (with optional template)
- Free and open-source with all code available on Bitbucket
- Currently project lacks of proper documentation, if you really want to hack it - check the source code
