Other faults such as map disappearance can usually be fixed by uninstalling the app, then reinstalling from Google Play.
About Terminator Android App

Drag and zoom the infinitely-scrollable map. Touch and drag the night shadow to see how the world looks at other times of the day. Advance the calendar to explore the view at other dates.
Click on location and sun icons to get exact location and sunrise/sunset times. Long click on the sun to retrieve real-time solar indices and solar disk image with sunspots.
