Your child can choose to have the narrator read out loud or to read by herself/himself at his/her own pace.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf is one of Aesop's Fables from which is derived the English idiom "to cry wolf", meaning to give a false alarm. The tale concerns a shepherd boy who repeatedly tricks nearby villagers into thinking a wolf is attacking his flock. When one actually does appear and the boy again calls for help, the villagers believe that it is another false alarm and the sheep (or, in some versions of the story, the boy) are eaten by the wolf.]
The moral stated at the end of the fable is, "this shows how liars are rewarded: even if they tell the truth, no one believes them"
