Thondaradippodi Alwar is one of the twelve Alwar Saints from South India who are known for their affiliation to Vaishnava (Sampradayam) tradition of Hinduism. Thondaradippodi Alwar became an ardent devotee of Lord Ranganatha in the Sri rangam Ranganathaswamy temple. He is so humble and he worshipped even the dust of the devotees and thus he attained the name Thondaradippodi.
Thirupalliyezhuchi contains 10 pasurams with indepth meaning is really auspicious to recite. His top contributions are Thirupalliyezhuchi and Tirumaalai and both were included in the 4000 stanzas of Nalayira Divya Prabhandam.
Thondaradippodi azhwar become very saintly as still there are Utsavam like Vasantha Utsavam which is regularly celebrated in Sri Rangam for 9 days in the garden to have been maintained by Thondaradippodi Alwar.
