Nome Científico

Seu nome científico significa: do (grego) arrhëmön = silencioso,

Características

Mede entre 15 e 16,5 centímetros de comprimento e pesa entre 20 e 33 gramas. (Jaramillo, 2016).
Suas cores destacam-no contra o fundo sombreado do chão da mata,
enquanto pula entre raízes ou nos caules verticais das arvoretas.
O laranja forte do bico (faixa negra no cume) forma um contraste
único com o negro da cabeça (listra acinzentada no centro) e a listra branca. Costas cinzas,
com asas esverdeadas e o encontro amarelo.
A garganta é branca, tendo uma característica faixa peitoral negra, larga.

Hábitos
