TileBitmapViewDemo is an application to demonstrate the abilities of the TiledBitmapViewDemo android library. This is an open source project at:
https://github.com/barryoneill/TiledBitmapView
This library provides a scrollable SurfaceView implementation, in which the tiles that make up the surface are loaded on demand from a TileProvider as the user scrolls around.
The application is quite simple - The dataset is picture of some rocks, split into a 5 x 5 set of tiles. This image is itself tileable, so as the user scrolls, the tiles quickly start repeating, but it appears as if you can scroll infinitely.
There's a button to jump to the (0,0) tile (see the github site for documentation), a button to enable and disable debug rendering (a feature of the view itself), and a button to switch between the 'demo' provider (which provides the stones) and the default one (a repeating grid of yellow circles saying 'No Provider Registered').
It's designed to run on Android 2.3.3 and upwards, and requires no special permissions to run
This version of TiledBitmapViewDemo Android App comes with one universal variant which will work on all the Android devices.
