About Timelapse Helper Android App

Timelapse Helper was developed out of the practice for photographers with a focus on time-lapse photography. The app offers useful features also for other photographers.
In addition to the calculations for motion sequences such as the calculations of image number, data volumes, interval, clip length, recording time and slider steps, the app has the option to save slider settings. This has been especially developed for the MX2 controller, but can also be used for other devices.



During the session, some test images are usually made. In order to reduce the search time in the post the app has a project management feature integrated. This offers the possibility to save the location with GPS coordinates, the picture start number and end number or the number of images. This makes it easy to find the sequence. The GPS coordinates can be exported as a GPX file and they can be imported into an image processing program, such as Adobe® Lightroom®, to attach them to the pictures.
Another useful feature is the sunrise and sunset time, including Golden and Blue hour for chosen cities. There is also a desktop widget available. Exposure times can be calculated for the use of ND filters.

The app allows to disable the used Web Services or Google APIs.
The location search for the sunrise and sunset times is then no longer available.
