About Timisoara City Art - ArtTM Android App

Timisoara City Art - ArtTM - is a mobile application which helps citizens and tourists to discover public space art in Timisoara. With only a tap, one can identify these monuments on the map, can find the distance and the public transport means needed to reach them and, the most spectacular thing, they can find out with the help of geo-based augmented reality techniques, who did the artwork, when and why. The application was started during the first Open Cultural Data Hackathon in Romania, which took place in 18-19 April 2015 in Timisoara, and was finalised in the context of a project partially financed by AFCN - Thematic area: Education through Culture.

ArtTM supports the candidacy of Timisoara for the title of European Capital of Culture in 2021.
