Version 1.2:
improved layout for tablets
support for older devices (Android 1.6 and up)
Many people with autism or other medical conditions suffer from a restricted ability to speak, making it difficult for them to communicate with others. A free and easy to use software for smartphones with android technology has now been released to help. Eight simple drawings on the touchscreen symbolize different situations. When a picture is touched, the corresponding sentence is verbalized by “touch-n-say”, e.g. touching the sandwich symbol prompts the smartphone to say: “I am hungry”. Additionally, the user can switch between English, German, French and Spanish. Developers Conni and Chris Stärkel hope to help people with disabilities to communicate and better participate in social life.
