About Traffic Monitoring Android App
Traffic Monitoring is a simple application that will help you avoid traffic. It shows a map with the current traffic status based GPS locations retrieved from users. You can also submit a description about the traffic jam in different areas.
This application uses the GPS found in Android smartphones. It uses a background process to monitor the speed and starts submitting information once the speed becomes above 20KM/h. You can manually control the monitoring by either enabling or disabling the GPS.
As a Software Engineering project, we have chosen this topic under the supervision of our professor at Lebanese American University. This application has been developed by three students, Ihab Abilmona, Souad Charafeddine, and Ahmad Hasbini.
