This update introduces a warning message that TriMet Tickets will no longer be valid fare after 12/31/19 and prevents the activation of tickets after 12/31/19.
TriMet is phasing out this app. The ability to purchase tickets will end in August, 2019. You can use previously purchase tickets through December 31st, 2019. You may also exchange previously purchase tickets for Hop Fastpass value at the Pioneer Square Ticket Office located at 701 SW 6th Ave., Portland, OR 97204 M-F 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Previously purchased tickets are non-refundable.
COMMON QUESTIONS:
Do I need to be connected?
An internet connection is required to download tickets but not to use them. You device must check-in once every 24 hours to receive updated information to allow you to activate or use your ticket.
What if my battery dies?
Just like with paper tickets, you're responsible for making sure you have a valid fare at all times, so be sure to plan ahead!
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
• Activate your ticket before boarding. If you're at a MAX station where fares are required, make sure you activate your ticket (by tapping the "Use" button) before entering the station area. Otherwise, activate your ticket when you see your bus or train approaching. Your ticket must be activated before boarding a vehicle.
• Watch your battery level... Just like with paper tickets, you're responsible for making sure you have a valid fare at all times.
COMPATIBILITY:
Android versions 6.0 and higher. Sorry, the TriMet Tickets app is not available for tablets.
• Note: We can only support unmodified, stock operating systems. Jailbroken and rooted phones are not supported.
