About Tukaram Gatha in Marathi Android App
Tukaram Gatha is one of the most well known Marathi poetry (abhang) written by the famous Marathi sant Tukaram. Tukaram (1608–1645) was a prominent Varkari Sant and spiritual poet of the Bhakti. Tukaram was a devotee of Vitthala or Vithoba, a form of God Vishnu. He was one of greatest saints to be born in Maharashtra.
‘वेदाचा तो अर्थ आम्हासीच ठावा। इतरांनी वहावा भार माथा।।’ असे परखड वक्तव्य तुकोबाराय अभिमानाने व्यक्त करतात. ‘तुका तरी सहज बोले वाणी। त्याचे घरी वेदान्त वाहे पाणी।।’ भक्ती -ज्ञान-वैराग्य याने ओथंबलेली संत तुकारामांची अभंगवाणी परब्रह्माच्या अद्वैताची मनोमन पूजा बांधते. विठ्ठलाचे ते विटेवरचे सावळे परब्रह्म, सगुण साकार होऊन, स्वतःला तुकोबांच्या ‘अभंग-भक्तिरसात’ बुडवून घेण्यात धन्यता मानत असले पाहिजे असे वाटावे, इतके तुकारामाचे अभंग रसाळ आहेत.
