This release serves as the initial release of the Small Animal Surgery Orientation app. Users will be able to search through orientation videos, see short cut pictures that reference material from the videos, and see things to know before surgery prep.
This app was created to introduce final-year students in the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine to the small animal surgery area of the veterinary teaching hospital. The app includes a series of videos that summarize the different surgery suites and their uses, the various carts and cabinets in the area, preparation of the operating rooms and surgical sites, opening sterile supplies, proper connection of specific pieces of equipment, and procedures used to clean the area at the end of the day. To facilitate the orientation process when students are on-call, the app also includes still images depicting the most relevant parts of the videos, and important ‘things to know’.
This version of UGA Animal Surgery Orientation Android App comes with one universal variant which will work on all the Android devices.
