Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is proudly organising its 8th annual UTM University Presidents Forum (UPF) for the year 2016 at UTM Johor Bahru from 8 August 2016 until 10 August 2016 with the theme ‘Innovation and Sustainable Development’. The 8th UTM UPF 2016 is co-hosted by Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), University of Southampton Malaysia Campus, and Netherlands Maritime Institute of Technology (NMIT), with UTM as the main organiser. The 8th UTM UPF 2016 aims to identify common issues and opportunities for research universities that would further strengthen the role and relevance of universities. It also hopes to forge an international network of universities that will strengthen the efforts of the participating universities, and create active and effective alliances in research and education. Thus far, a total of 108 delegates and 61 universities which comprise of 35 Presidents/Rectors/Vice-Chancellors from 19 countries have confirmed their participation in the 8th UTM UPF 2016.
