About Urban SanCollect Android App
Urban SanCollect is a mobile app version of the Urban Sanitation Data Collection forms used in Sanitation Surveys in Urban Centres in Northern Uganda. It was developed as part of the Reform of the Urban Water and Sanitation Sector (RUWASS)
programme implemented by GIZ (giz.de) in Northern Uganda, which seeks to contribute to an improved and more equitable access to sustainable water supply and sanitation.
The app has support for automatic capture of location coordinates and images, as well as numerical and textual answers. Inbuilt logic helps control the display prompts and limit responses to predefined values as necessary.
Urban SanCollect is designed to work offline during the data collection. Once back in network coverage, the collected data is synchronized to the online system which aggregates data from all data collectors. The aggregated data is available at wsdfsanitationdms.ug.
