About VeriLocation Van Checklist Android App

VeriLocation's free Vehicle Checklist Android App allows our GPS Fleet customers to login to their account via this service on a suitable Android smartphone and carry out vehicle checks. Each device is able to login as a registered driver (using a 4 digit pin) and upload in real-time standard and HGV VOSA recommended checks. By selecting the vehicle registration all data is recorded on the VeriLocation website against each asset. It is possible then to view and print off any vehicle check and see who recorded the information, what date and time this was done.
Defects require additional information to be entered and will allow a specific defects exception report to be generated along with a notification email. Where GSM coverage is poor - the onboard database will store the information and sync to the main website once coverage is restored.
This App is the first in a series of services that will form part of our Signature Capture and Proof of Delivery suite for Android. Existing customers can already take advantage of our Job Push services via Garmin, the Android App Suite will extend Job Push to this system so that field based drivers / engineers can receive instructions / delivery jobs to the smartphone and return completion notes and signatures upon successful delivery. ( coming late 2011)
