Ayurveda is one of the greatest gifts given by the sages of ancient India to mankind for healthy and long life. There are seven types of dhatu (tissues) such as rasa (body fluids), asruk(blood), mamsa(muscular tissue), meda(adipose tissue), asthi(bony /osseous tissue),majja(nervous tissue or bone marrow), shukra (reproductive tissue)in our body. These tissues support and nourish the body thus give strength to body & maintain health. Vishuddhatara is the purest form of tissue.Dhatusaratvais the excellent state of dhatu i.e. having all the excellent qualities of that particular dhatu.
The strength of body and mind can be evaluatedby Dhatusaratva, which has been specified in Charak SamhitaVimanaSthana 8th chapter while explaining DashavidhaPariksha (tenfold examination).By knowing Dhatusaratva of individual, it will be easier to know about the true strength and the comfort zone of particular tissue. It can also help us to know poor or moderate strength of dhatu in the body and thus preventive measure can be taken in terms of diet and daily regimen to avoid manifestation of disease associated to that dhatu. Also one can guide the person in choosing appropriate profession by knowing strength of dhatuwhich will be according to individual’s liking and also he will have the ability to become successful in that particular profession
Characteristics like sukha, saubhagya ,aishvarya ,vitta , upabhoga ,bala , buddhi , vidyaa ,arogya , praharsha and ayushyatwa are difficult to assess as they are subjective. Also they are mentioned in two or more dhatusara characteristics. So all above given qualities should be examined with respect to qualities and functions of that particular dhatu. Here in this application, a sincere effort is made to make you understandthe shades of these qualities.
A questionnaire is designed to measure characteristics of dhatusaratva considering the qualities and functions of particular tissue.Assessment is done according to questionnaire and person’s response will be recorded. Percentage will be calculated for every tissue strength. If the percentage is 75 and above, then strength of that particular tissue is excellent. If the percentage is 50 and above, then strength of that tissue will be moderate and if the percentage is below 50, then the strength of that tissue will be poor. So the analysis of each tissue will be done and accordingly diet and daily regimen to be followed is suggested to increase and maintain the strength of tissues. Various professions are also suggested taking into consideration the strength and comfort zone of particular tissue. This honest endeavour will be successful if you all achieve real benefit from this application.
