This VR app has been developed and validated in clinical teaching settings in order to help medical students and doctors learn the systematic processes used when performing eye examinations. The full version comprises five ‘levels’. This demo version covers tutorial, retinal and a pathology.
Tutorial level – learning to use the app.
Red reflex level – how to correctly orienting the app view the retina.
Retinal navigation – how to correctly navigate landmarks of the back of the eye.
Pathologies - Audio visual narrations on common pathologies of the eye.
Quiz - Use skills previously learnt to correctly identify pathologies or normal eyes.
This version of the app works with Android version 8. However it does not support the old google cardboard headset which uses the ring magnet for input (Google cardboard version one) only the google cardboard version 2.
