In version 2.2.0 of the AuthPoint mobile app, when you log in to your password vault the password manager now creates a session and remembers you for five minutes. While your session is active, you are not prompted to authenticate with your PIN or biometrics when you use the password manager. If you leave the password manager while you have an active session, the password manager does not clear form fields. This update also includes minor bug fixes and improvements.
WatchGuard’s AuthPoint app allows you to authenticate right from your own phone! No need to carry keyfobs or thumb drives; instead install and activate AuthPoint, and then use it to authenticate to company networks and cloud applications. It enables speedy push-based authentication as well as offline authentication using QR codes with the phone’s camera. This app requires activation of AuthPoint service, offered by WatchGuard.
The AuthPoint app features:
- Convenient, secure authentication in seconds when you approve a push notification message;
- Additional storage for all your third-party authenticators;
- Quick self-service migration of tokens when changing phones;
