Water Tek was founded in September 1982 by the late Mr. N. Krishna, a qualified Chemical Engineer from A. C. College of Technology, Madras, now a part of Anna University. Mr. Krishna was Regional Manager of Ms. Candy Filters (India) Ltd., Bombay from 1970 to 1982 with his office at 337 Thambu Chetty Street, Madras – 1. Ms. Candy Filters (India) Ltd., Bombay was a subsidiary of Ms. Paterson Candy International Ltd., London, one of the top companies in public health water treatment. Candy Filters (I) Ltd., were the pioneers in swimming pool water treatment in India with more than 350 installations to their credit. Almost all the Olympic size swimming pools in India (upto 1985) had water treatment plants supplied & installed by Candy Filters. Talkatorapool in New Delhi, where the Asian Games 1982 was held was designed, supplied & installed by Candy Filters.

WATER TEK have two major installations to their credit.
1. Olympic racing pool, diving pool & warm up pool in AQUATIC COMPLEX, Thirissur, Kerala, where the aquatic events of NATIONAL GAMES 1987 was held.
2. MARINA SWIMMING POOL, Chennai. 100 m long x 30.5 m wide pool, water holding capacity 40,00,000 litres. WATER TEK supplied & installed a 500 m3/hr water treatment & re-circulation plant.
3. All the 25.0 m pools in the major clubs of Chennai viz., MADRAS CRICKET CLUB, THE PRESIDENCY CLUB, COSMOPOLITAN CLUB, THE GANDHINAGAR CLUB, THE LEAGUE CLUB & MADRAS BOAT CLUB have been equipped by us with water treatment plants, underwater lights, ladders & piping.
We have executed more than 350 pools in this 35 years. Our major customers include MRF Ltd., Texmo Industries, SPIC, Vijayshanthi Builders, Navin Housing & Properties, Jain Housing, Ruby Builders, Jones Foundations & Landmark Housing Projects, Chennai.
Our strengths are strong technical knowledge & good trouble shooting skills.
Water Tek is now being managed by Mr. K. Aravindakshan, who has 20 years of experience in this field.
